The Hainan Energy Trading Building Project is proudly located in the new administrative district of Jiangdong, a newly emerging area known for its industries, finance, and residential developments on the outskirts of Haikou, the capital of Hainan Province, China.
The building's strong exterior lines contrast with sky gardens positioned at regular intervals—a blend of rigidity and softness that creates a harmonious whole, reflecting the goal of this emerging area to combine current conditions with advanced technology.
Architectural strategies of the energy trading building, designed by KRIS YAO | ARTECH:
- The sustainable design of this project aligns with the green energy initiatives of the Yankuang Group.
- Sky gardens are located at opposite corners based on a principle—appearing every four floors and rotating 90 degrees each time.
- The central courtyard creates an excellent microclimate, achieved through effective shading and ventilation strategies in the 75-meter-high corridor.
- The double-insulation design helps the building conserve energy with ultra-clear high-grade glass, providing a bright and comfortable atmosphere for employees within the building.
